I KNOW!! Omg rabbit that’s a lot of images. But look at how different each picture is, I mean I needed to capture the amazingness of ILNP My Private Rainbow jelly sandwiched over Pure Ice Satin Ribbon and Wetn’wild Hallucinate.
Not to mention I did BOTH hands and the other one actually turned out pretty decently!! My topcoat was also so shiny today (second day of wear too lol) that my camera kept focusing on the shine instead of the design.
I was just really feeling me some kind of fall mushroom scene so I did some random green blobbies with my acrylic paint and went from there. I don’t know what the green grassy things are but they totally fit right? I added light green in places to mimic how moss kind of looks and some brown hairs.
I feel like this is probably the easiest detailed design I’ve ever done! You should totally do mushrooms on your nails.
The fox says HOLO!!! hahaha, sorry I had to do it. I LOVE how cute these turned out!! I found my design on google after searching Fox Nails and found The Polished Life’s beautiful fox and leaves design.
I didn’t want to do leaves because I am lazy and doing a million other things for the holidays! (I’ll post pics of the finished products later this month or next month) I opted for some fresh holographic dew, uh yea. haha well, we’ll call it that anyway. I even included an out of focus shot of China Glaze’s Fairy Dust so you could see how holo it is!
The other color I used was also china glaze, Nice Caboose. The first picture (and second picture of my other hand!) is in fluorescent lighting so it looks a bit more maroon than purple but outside it’s almost a different shade, a very plum wine color. I LOVE it!
I used Wet-n-Wilds 2% Milk (about 3 coats, jeeze). After I had that down I used a makeup sponge and dotted polish onto the makeup sponge randomly using Sinful Color’s Ruby Ruby and Sally Hansen’s Plum Luck.
I then used a bit of 2% across the top of all the dots to give it a slight gradient effect and blended the colors in with the sponge like you would any gradient. Then I took Color-Club Snowflakes and sponged it on the tips going up the gradient leaving the top half more bare.
I really love this!! The flakies are the perfect light pink over this rose plum that was created by blending Ruby Ruby and Plum Luck. In the sun they were soo shifty and it’s very hard to capture but it went green at different angles.
Sally Hansen Merlot and 2% milk (the nude part has one coat of 2%) and ELF’s Pot of Gold. This was simple but took a long time. lol I also drew half circles on my bare nails with a pencil to get them all a similar size before painting on my nails. I found this design on Redditlaqueristas by user chocolatehazelnut1. I just really loved how simple yet elegant it looked so I had to try it out.
My Merlot bottle is about 10 years old. I can remember having it when Sally Hansen came out with their chrome collection and how I painted every nail a different color back then. lol It will always be one of my favorite colors. 🙂
