I used Wet-n-Wilds 2% Milk (about 3 coats, jeeze). After I had that down I used a makeup sponge and dotted polish onto the makeup sponge randomly using Sinful Color’s Ruby Ruby and Sally Hansen’s Plum Luck.
I then used a bit of 2% across the top of all the dots to give it a slight gradient effect and blended the colors in with the sponge like you would any gradient. Then I took Color-Club Snowflakes and sponged it on the tips going up the gradient leaving the top half more bare.
I really love this!! The flakies are the perfect light pink over this rose plum that was created by blending Ruby Ruby and Plum Luck. In the sun they were soo shifty and it’s very hard to capture but it went green at different angles.
I decided to do a full hero instead of tags and related designs. It was pretty hard!! The face is the only thing I’m super bummed about but it ended up a lot better than I thought it would be halfway through painting, lol.
I used three colors for the background Sinful Colors Snow Me White, and gradient Sugar Rush as well as Sally Hansen Blue Me Away. Mercy and the rest are acrylic paints.
I think this all boils down to needing better brushes but it looks cute and it’s instantly recognizable that it’s Mercy!! I rushed through the thumbnail but meh. I just need to practice letters.
I did this beautiful gradient with Finger Paints Blushstroke Blush and Beverly’s Touch. I just realized those are both B named polish colors and roses remind me of my grandma Beulah, awe. Ok sentiment aside, I felt like I needed to brush up (hehehe) on my rose game so I put in a little practice. Which I feel like paid off! I need to practice new techniques more often.
I followed some random chart from google after searching how to paint roses. I’ll do a tutorial soon I think after some Overwatch nails which I’ve laxxed on recently due to a loss in my family and my utter inability to work on nail art or any art in general. I’ve mostly been playing a lot of Starbound and cuddling my rabbits and my Fiance to save what sanity I have left at this point. It’s working so far.
I think I’ll be doing Mercy next or maybe widow who knows! If you want to see an overwatch hero let me know and hopefully it will be before I get around to actually doing them. 😛
I’ve been sewing for my niece’s second birthday and crafting away so these are well overdue! Here I am though, following through (Pharah will be around the corner here shortly)!
I used 3 colors for the background Salon Perfect Yowza Yellow, Kleancolor Neon Orange, and China Glaze Roguish Red and the rest is acrylic paint.
I used a different light setting for these other two images to show the depth of the gradient.
It’s been rainy for the past few days here so I couldn’t get any outside pictures which really show it off, so I think this was the closest I could get. I was a little crunched for time so I think what I’d do differently next time is probably put a little Cheers Luv on the thumb with maybe the grav bomb symbol.
All in all I think I did a good job given my time frame and my starting to fray to bits brushes. I really need some new ones!!
If you have any tips on my Pharah nails feel free to comment with your ideas!
I was asked to do Lovecraft nails and this is the result!! Based on this DA artistschibi-thulhu. I LOVEEE them. && they smell like roses because I used Revlon Parfumerie African Tea Rose.
I even did my other hand! lol
Using Revlon Parfumerie African Tea Rose and sinful color’s amethyst I did this beautiful gradient, and for sparkles I used WetnWild’s Kaleidoscope topped with ILNP My Private Rainbow. The Cthulhu, speech bubble, and the tentacles are acrylic paint.
These ended up being ridiculously cute, and they’ve lasted FOREVER!! lol I’m on like day 10 now? The tentacles were a last minute addition I’m glad I did because they really brought it all together.
I used Klean Color’s Neon Sapphire, Aqua, and Sinful Color’s Most Sinful. Topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust and I used acrylic paint to do the moon, and bunny silhouette. On my thumb, which you can’t see , is the Lepus constellation. I’ll have to get a picture of it later.
I used Kleancolor’s Neon Aqua, Fingerpaints 15min of Frame, and Salon Perfects Yowza Yellow to create the gradient, using the sponging method over WnW’s French White (to make the colors pop). I used black acrylic paint to do the palm trees and birds.
